Ljubljana, 8 September 2015 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, acting as the Managing Authority for European Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund, issued a decision for the project “Entrepreneurship, flexibility and individualisation for improving employment opportunities of youth”. The project is worth EUR 200,000 and will receive European Social Fund support under the 2007-2013 programming period in the amount of EUR 170,000.
On the basis of the projects, exchanges and cooperation with foreign experts the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training (CPI) will implement activities to individualise learning and teaching. Their aim is to provide a number of opportunities for developing students’ potential. The goal of the co-financed project is to establish how vocational and technical secondary schools identify and take into account the differences between individuals, and to establish which methods, approaches and types of work organisation enable individuals to develop their potential.
The project will focus on the cooperation of schools and companies in terms of individualised inclusion of students in practical training. Research will cover theoretical basis by analysing the present empirical findings and the current practice. The findings will be used to develop flexible educational paths and teaching models. In cooperation with companies CPI will develop the bases which will actually facilitate longer and higher-quality training for students in companies. The aim of the project is to encourage young job-seekers to be motivated, well-trained and flexible.
