Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, acting as the Managing Authority for EU Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund, approved the call for proposals “Promoting the development of non-government organisations and civil dialogue in the period 2014-2015”. The available grants under the call for proposals, which will be implemented by the Ministry of the Interior in 2014 and 2015, amount to 2,500,000.00 euros of which the European Social Fund contribution amounts to 85 %, i.e. 2,125,000.00 euros.
The subject of the call for proposals is the co-funding of projects of horizontal networks of non-governmental organisations (NGO), regional hubs of NGOs and thematic networks of NGOs at the national level.
The aim of the call for proposals is to strengthen the active role of NGOs in the design and implementation of public policies, i.e. the enforcement of civil dialogue, capacity building of NGOs, providing services for non-government organisations with the aim of enhancing the quality and efficiency of their operation, financial independence from public sources of funding and capacity to recognise the NGO and user needs, integration and cooperation of NGOs and other sectors (media, economic sector, wider public administration, general public) with the aim of addressing societal challenges at various levels and promoting NGO role in addressing development issues.
