MEDT announces public call for applications worth almost 145 million Euros
On 11 May 2012 the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology (MEDT) published a public call for applications for the main type of activity “Regional development programmes”, priority axis “Development of Regions” for the period 2012–2014 worth 144,872,398.40 Euros. Eligible beneficiaries to these funds of the European Regional Development are self-governing local communities.
Projects will be partly financed by the European Union in the framework of the Operational Programme for Strengthening Regional Development Potentials for the period 2007-2013, which is the basis for the disbursement of funds from the European Regional Development Fund for 2013 and 2014.
The funds will be awarded for funding those projects which are included in the implementation plans for regional development programmes for the period 2012–2014 and approved by the Regional Council, in the following areas:
• economic and educational infrastructure
• environmental infrastructure
• development of urban settlements
• public infrastructure in areas with special protection regimes and in tourist areas
• social infrastructure.
