MEDT approved the Public call for proposals “Research voucher”

Ljubljana, 27 September 2012 – Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, as the Managing Authority for the EU structural funds and the Cohesion Fund, approved the Public call for proposals “Research voucher” for co-financing the costs of researches which are implemented by research organisations through the research voucher for companies. The overall value of the grant, which will be awarded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport in the period 2013–2015 for the implementation of the public call for proposals, is 8,000,000 Euros. European Regional Development Fund contribution amounts to 6,800,000 Euros. 

The purpose of the public call for proposals is to strengthen the cooperation and interaction among the companies and research organisations. Promotion of researches, which are carried out by research organisations for companies, or the transfer of knowhow for the needs of the economy are the main objectives of the public call for proposals. The public call for proposals will also enable the co-financing of researches in the field of creativity and marketing. The result of the cooperation between the companies and research organisations is, indeed, to strengthen the integration of scientific and research work in companies, integration of research work with the needs of the economy and additional investments in research activity.    

The public call for proposals, which will be published by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Technology, is implemented in the framework of the Operational Programme for Strengthening Regional Development Potentials for the period 2007–2013, priority axis “Competitiveness and research excellence”.
