Ljubljana, 20 July 2012 – Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, as the Managing Authority for the EU structural funds and the Cohesion Fund, approved the Public call for proposals to co-finance the establishment and operation of competence centres for human resources development for the period 2012–2015. The overall amount of the grant in the framework of the public call for proposals is 5,000,000 Euros. European Social Fund contribution is 4,250,000 Euros.
The objective of the public call for proposals is to promote greater capacity of the employees in enterprises in individual industries and greater competitiveness of enterprises and industries.
The co-financed projects will, among other things, contribute to:
• development and coordinated implementation of competence models for jobs in industries
• exchange of knowledge and best practices among the partners of the competence centre
• greater capacity of the employees in individuals industries
• greater competitiveness of the employees, enterprises and industries
The public call for proposal will co-finance the establishment and operation of up to 20 competence centres for human resources development or partnerships among enterprises and other organisations in the framework of various industries. The EU funds will, therefore, support 150 enterprises, development and implementation of up to 20 competence models and 80000 trainings for 1000 individuals.
The public call for proposals will be realised in the framework of the Operational Programme for Human Resources Development for the period 2007–2013. The call was prepared by the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs and the Slovene Human Resources Development and Scholarship Fund. The latter will carry out the public call for proposals.
