Ljubljana, 3 July 2012 – Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, as the Managing Authority for the EU structural funds and the Cohesion Fund, issued a decision granting EU funds for the project “Strengthening the Slovene Human Resources and Scholarship Fund to improve its professional-development function and the quality of its services”. The purpose of the project is to strengthen the professional-development function of the Fund so that it can implement the programmes and projects and act as the central institution in developing human resources with the objective of higher employability, lifelong learning and competitiveness. The objective of the programme is greater qualification of the employed, which will raise their competitiveness in the labour market.
The programme is part-financed by the European Union, namely the European Social Fund. The programme is implemented in the framework of the Operational Programme for Human Resources Development for the Period 2007–2013, priority axis “Institutional and administrative capacity”, main type of activity “Reform of the institutions in the labour market”.
Indicative value of the grant, available for the co-financing of the programme, is 1,649,642.46 Euros. The EU contribution represents 85% of the value of the project, i.e. 1,402,196.10 Euros, while the national share represents 15% of the value of the project, i.e. 247,446.36 Euros.
The intermediate body, participating in the implementation of the project, is the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs, while the beneficiary is the Slovene Human Resources and Scholarship Fund.
