More than 95,300 projects received EU support in the 2007-2013 programming period, and the Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy and the Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment wish to draw attention to a number of success stories that not just happened but were made because of the EU monies. The two institutions will organise a photography exhibition at the Congress Square in Ljubljana in October 2014. The mission of the exhibition is not only to inform the general public but also to spur public participation. The tagline ʺWhat has the European money done for you, for your place?ʺ seeks to encourage people to search for good projects in their environment and to acknowledge the concrete improvements in the quality of their lives that would not have taken place without the EU support. The photography exhibition that will be launched on 2 October 2014 and will last till 23 October 2014 will be a perfect opportunity to take stock of what has been done so far in terms of implementation of cohesion policy, rural development policy and fisheries policy, and to underline the highlights of future implementation of these policies until 2020.
Objective of the contest General public nominates the projects that changed their lives or made their lives and life in the community significantly better. Both institutions will select the best nominations, make arrangements for project photo shooting and exhibit the photos.
Project nominationsThe nominated projects should refer to the projects that were implemented in Slovenia and received support from the European Regional Development Fund, the Cohesion Fund, the European Social Fund, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and/or the European Fisheries Fund.
