Na območju Karavank med Peco in Košuto, na meji med Slovenijo in Avstrijo, ki ga odlikuje izjemna geološka zgradba, bogate geološke ter ostale naravne in kulturne posebnosti, so v modelu geoparka spoznali priložnost za trajnostni razvoj in obstoječo geo turistično ponudbo dopolnili z novimi vsebinami in novo infrastrukturo.

The area lying in the Karawanks between the mountains Peca/Petzen and Košuta/Kochuta on the Slovenian-Austrian border boasts outstanding geological structure and is extremely rich in geological and other natural and cultural features that make it interesting and unique. The advantages and uniqueness of the geopark model have been recognised as an opportunity for sustainable development and the existing geoturist offer has been diversified and upgraded with new content and infrastructure.
