S projektom so izboljšali kakovosti vina terana skozi vpliv na pridelavo z zmanjšanjem kraškega okolja s pesticidi in težkimi kovinami in s tem posledično v grozdju in vinu.

The project was nominated by Barbara Škrbina: ‘’Improved quality and recognition of the Teran wine, prosciutto and Karst region. Production meets science. Development of tourism.’’
The project resulted in improved quality of the Teran wine, which bears the mark of recognised traditional denomination. Improved wine quality was a result of improved production process that was achieved through reducing pollution of Karst fields with pesticides and heavy metals, and eliminating traces of pesticides and heavy metals in the grapes and wine itself. By researching the polyphenol profile of grapes, scientists confirmed favourable impacts and benefits of antocianides on health that, to some extent, contribute to prevention of certain conditions, arteriosclerosis, improve brain functions and slow down the development of diabetes and certain other conditions.
