Romska gostilna je edinstven projekt, ki vzpostavlja vzorčni primer prve romske gostilne v Mariboru, Sloveniji in EU. Romska gostilna deluje po principu socialnega podjetništva z namenom zaposlovanja oseb iz ranljivih skupin (romske manjšine). Projekt romske restavracije obuja in ohranja romsko kulturo (umetnost, kulinariko, romski stil okrasitve, jezik ...), vključuje Rome v družbo in delovno okolje, jih na neformalen način izobražuje za delo v restavraciji in zmanjšuje predsodke ter stereotipe o Romih.

The project was nominated by Žiga Štajnbaher: ‘’The Romani Kafenava project’s ambition was to open the first Roma restaurant in the EU run as a social enterprise.’’
This unique project seeks to establish the first ever Roma restaurant in Maribor, Slovenia, and EU-wide. The restaurant is run as a social enterprise and aims to create jobs for members of vulnerable groups (the Roma community). The project revives and preserves Roma culture (art, cuisine, language, interior decoration, etc.), strives to boost social inclusion and labour market integration of members of the Roma community, provides opportunities for them gaining informal knowledge and breaks down the prejudice and stereotypes directed towards Roma.
