Just like its sister event AlpWeek, which takes place every four years, AlpWeek Intermezzo 2020 is an international event organised by the leading Alpine organisations advocating mountain protection and sustainable development. French town of Nice, which is found at the very tip of the Alpine Arc will this year be hosting an open-access event in an exquisite Alpine setting. AlpWeek Intermezzo 2020 will mark the wrap-up of French Presidency of the Alpine Convention and the EUSALP. The event will bring together all key stakeholders from the Alpine space.
We kindly invite you to attend this year's online forum AlpWeek Intermezzo which will be held between 9 and 11 December 2020. The forum’s main theme is Youth and Climate: How can young people in the Alps be involved in shaping their future?
The living environment and the jobs today considered as traditionally Alpine will undoubtedly evolve in the future, especially as a result of climate change. AlpWeek Intermezzo 2020 will focus on what this means to young people. How do they perceive the ever-growing changes affecting the landscape and their natural environment because of climate change? What kind of environment will they live in?
Detailed event programme and registration are available here. Make sure you register for the event at the latest by 1 December 2020.
