Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for the call for proposals E-care at home, which will be launched by the Ministry of Health. The funding for the call comes from the European Social Fund under the React-EU initiative.
With the call for proposals, the Ministry of Health intends to select a provider that will offer telehealth and telecare services to the beneficiaries. The free services of e-care will help the seniors age 65 and older who mostly live alone or younger individuals with reduced self-care ability due to health-related conditions to live longer and safer lives at home. E-care is a comprehensive set of services and technological solutions or devices that fosters ageing in place; it provides telehealth and telecare services to empower older individuals to stay autonomous, independent, safe and well in their home environment.
The funding for the call has been earmarked under the REACT-EU initiative which tops up the 2021-2027 cohesion envelope.
