Ljubljana, 13 June 2019 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Managing Authority for ERDF, ESF and Cohesion Fund, has issued a grant decision for the call for proposals ‘’Reorganisation of existing networks and inclusion of new providers of community-based services and programmes for seniors’’ which is to be published by the Ministry of Health. The available funding under the call stands at EUR 13 million, of which nearly EUR 8 million will go to cohesion region Vzhodna Slovenija and over EUR 5 million to cohesion region Zahodna Slovenija. The contribution from the ESF equals EUR 10.5 million or 80% of the available funding.
The goal of the call for proposals is to develop, test and implement new tools in the area of community-based services and programmes for seniors. The call will support the development of new services and the adjustment and reorganisation of existing institutional care networks, while co-financing the inclusion of new providers or professionals offering community-based programmes and services. The call will further support process optimisation so as to allow for a continuous approach to addressing individuals and their needs and help reduce administrative burden faced by the relevant staff. The newly developed links between the health and social care systems will contribute to quality and safe delivery of care to individuals.
The call for proposals will support the creation of new services for senior citizens which will enable them, despite potential issues with disabilities, conditions or frailty, to stay in their home and community for as long as possible, to improve or maintain their psychophysical abilities and functional capacities for as long as possible and will build their resilience through enhanced self-care.
