Ljubljana, 12 August 2022 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved nearly EUR 1.4 million in EU funding for the project Energy-saving renovation of the school boarding house in Vič.
As part of the project, the school boarding house in Vič will undergo energy-efficient renovation, after which the boarding house will benefit from efficient energy management. Works will cover the facility of the boarding house and the old administration building. The project’s main objective is the energy-efficient renovation of both public buildings to reduce energy consumption and running costs. The project covers the replacement of joinery and lighting, installation of thermal insulation of the external walls and the attic, renovation of the heating system and installation of thermostatic valves, establishing ventilation of the kitchen and canteen, renovation of exhaust fans, and setting up a central control system. The project will result in 13,214.80 square metres of net floor area being renovated.
The project worth EUR 3,396,768.95 will receive Cohesion Fund support of EUR 1,387,458.37.
