Ljubljana, 4 August 2022 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved over EUR 800 thousand for the project Energy-efficient renovation of the Traffic and Transport School Maribor and EUR 344 thousand for the project Energy-efficient renovation of the Centre for School and Outdoor Activities Ljubljana and the Štrk House in Ptuj.
As part of the project, the Traffic and Transport School Maribor will undergo complete renovation and alteration. More precisely, the project will result in the thermal insulation of the façade, the attic floors and the roof, as well as in replacing the windows, doors and lighting and in installing thermostatic valves and valves on all heating devices. The project will also result in installing a central monitoring system and measurement systems, and in restoring the heating system. 8,987 net square metres of floor area will be renovated in the frame of the project worth EUR 2,246,444.08, of which the Cohesion Fund stands at EUR 802,011.92.
The EU funds supported energy-efficient renovation of buildings will also take place in Ljubljana and Ptuj – the Centre for School and Outdoor Activities will renovate the Centre’s facility in Ljubljana and the Štrk House in Ptuj by installing thermal insulation on the façade, the ceiling facing the unheated attic, and the roof, as well as replacing the windows and doors. The mentioned buildings will also benefit from new ventilation, installation of thermostatic valves, measurement systems, lighting and heating system. All the mentioned project activities will enhance the energy efficiency of the facilities and reduce maintenance costs. The project worth EUR 1,150,479.17 will receive Cohesion Fund support of EUR 344,048.14.
