Ljubljana, 1 June 2018 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Managing Authority for ERDF, ESF and Cohesion Fund, issued a grant decision for the ‘’Call for proposals for the selection of ESF-supported operations enhancing social inclusion of members of vulnerable target groups through culture in 2018 and 2019’’. The call makes EUR 1.2 million available, of which EUR 960,000 comes from the European Social Fund.
The aim of the call for proposals, which is to be published next week by the Ministry of Culture, is to encourage, mobilise, and motivate members of vulnerable groups to take a more proactive role so as to enhance their social inclusion, improve employability and increase employment rate. The call for proposals will support the NGOs that deliver activities targeting vulnerable group members, especially minority ethnic groups and people with disabilities by building and strengthening their capacity and cultural competencies.
The call for proposals will co-finance training workshops aiming to enhance the employability and social inclusion of vulnerable group members through culture, including with a view to support creation of jobs for the target group in culture and creativity sector. The goal is to reach out to over 400 individuals from target vulnerable groups, enable them to take part in cultural programmes and projects, improve their skills, knowledge and competence, and, in turn, get them closer to the labour market.
