Ljubljana, 22 November 2019 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, Managing Authority for EU Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund, issued a grant decision for the project Housing development the Dečkovo naselje settlement. The project worth a good EUR 13.5 million will receive over EUR 4.6 million of European Regional Development Fund support under the integrated territorial investments (ITI) mechanism.
With the project, Urban Municipality Celje plans to upgrade its housing stock in brownfield sites and set up functional rental housing. The new public rental housing will meet the needs of various target groups, namely beneficiaries of non-profit rental housing and the beneficiaries of special-purpose rental flats (young people and young families, people with special needs, older people). By occupying the new flats, each inhabitant will benefit from a higher quality of life and inclusion into the wider community.
Six multi-dwelling units will be built in the frame of the project, offering 142 flats, 150 parking lots in the garage, of which 16 flats are meant for people with reduced mobility, and 46 outside parking lots, of which three are meant to be used by people with disabilities.
