Ljubljana, 13 December 2019 - Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Managing Authority for the European Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund, has issued a grant decision for the project “Equipping the Urban Industry Zone East”. The European Regional Development Fund will contribute approximately EUR 621,000 for the project worth EUR € 1.5 million.
The purpose of the project is to provide adequate municipal equipment in the East Industry Zone in Izola with the aim of increasing the added value of SMEs and creating new jobs. The investment will provide suitable communally equipped land in the business zone for the location of production and other planned activities. The project will build a water supply network, sewage and meteor sewage, public lighting and appropriate transport infrastructure on 3.9 ha. The newly built economic and business infrastructure will enable the appropriate development of production, craft and service activities in the area of the East Industry Zone in Izola.
