Ljubljana, 14 August 2018 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Managing Authority for ERDF, ESF and Cohesion Fund, issued a grant decision for the call for proposals ‘’DEMO PILOTI II 2018’’ which was published yesterday in the Official Gazette by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology. The call makes a total of EUR 56.6 million available, of which EUR 45 million comes from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The call for proposals seeks to co-finance the implementation of pilot and demonstration projects of consortia whose results are either new or improved versions of previous products, processes or services whose development stage allows for building up of a prototype, and testing and validating in real-life environments. The aim is to get favourable market testing outcomes, which result from modifying the product or service according to customer, manufacturer and support organisations' feedback, and to get firms’ references to proceed to the commercialisation stage.
The pilot and demonstration projects aim to deliver technological solutions that cater to the needs and characteristics of Industry 4.0. Only pilot and demonstration that fall under the S4 focus areas and/or technologies identified by the approved Strategic Research and Innovation Partnership (SRIP) action plans in the context of the Slovenian Smart Specialisation Strategy (S4) are eligible for co-financing.
