Ljubljana, 13 February 2020 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Managing Authority for the ERDF, the ESF and the Cohesion Fund, has issued a funding decision for the call for proposals Promotion of cultural and creative industries – Centre for Creativity 2020–2021 which will be published by the Ministry of Culture. The call for proposals makes a total of EUR 2.21 million available for projects; EUR 1.63 million comes from the ERDF.
The funding under the call for proposals will be available for the development of innovative projects and businesses in the creative and cultural sectors, for the development of new products, services and processes by businesses and other organisations, and for strengthening the links between the cultural and creative sectors and the economy. Support will be given to the projects created at the crossroads of arts, culture, market, entrepreneurship and the economy.
The goal of the call for proposals is primarily to support the creation and operation of businesses, notably start-ups, and to promote a dynamic and competitive entrepreneurship for green economic growth, in particular by making exploitation of new ideas generated in the economy easier and by accelerating the creation of new businesses, also with the help of business incubators.
The call for proposals complements the project Platform Centre for Creativity which is led and implemented by the Museum of Architecture and Design.
