Ljubljana, 15 May 2019 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Managing Authority for ERDF, ESF and Cohesion Fund, has issued a grant decision for the ‘’Call for proposals for co-financing the project of youth career centres in cohesion region Vzhodna Slovenija’’. The call will be published by the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities. Total available budget under the call for proposals amounts to EUR 1.25 million, of which EUR 1 million comes from the European Social Fund (ESF). The project will be implemented in cohesion region Vzhodna Slovenija.
The call for proposals aims to co-finance one multiannual project of youth career centres in cohesion region Vzhodna Slovenija to improve access to career orientation and guidance services for school-age youth. The youth career centre will deliver an array of services supporting and empowering young people to map their career path and make informed and confident career choices by engaging them in the process to understand their interests and abilities, helping them identify the labour market and employers’ needs and the right job opportunities. The programme and activities delivered by the centre will upgrade and complement schools’ career orientation and guidance programmes. The centre will have several branch offices set up in the region to ensure that the school-age youth have better access to career guidance and orientation services.
