Ljubljana, 28 February 2020 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, Managing Authority for ERDF, ESF and Cohesion Fund, has issued a grant decision for the project “Upgrading bus stops and overhanging roofs” in Maribor. The project worth over EUR 205,000 will receive Cohesion Fund support in the framework of the Integrated Territorial Investments (ITI) mechanism in the amount of EUR 80,000.
The project focuses on upgrading 21 bus stops in Maribor which will improve the visual identity and the quality of the city public passenger transport by installing waiting areas and areas for pedestrians, overhanging roofs, waste bins, benches and passenger info boards. The project will result in greater comfort for passengers waiting at bus stops and accessing the bus stops which will, in turn, also increase the use of public passenger transportation.
