Ljubljana, 21 January 2020 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Managing Authority for ERDF, ESF and Cohesion Fund, has issued a grant decision for the project “Wastewater collection and treatment in the Dravinja basin – Municipality Rače-Fram”. The project is worth a little under EUR 5 million and will receive European Regional Development Fund support in the amount of almost EUR 1.4 million.
The project will result in establishing adequate infrastructure for wastewater treatment in the Rače agglomeration. The mentioned new infrastructure will be connected to the Rače wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) with the latter being upgraded with tertiary wastewater treatment, including nitrogen and phosphorus elimination. In light of the fact that the existing WWTP is overloaded a new WWTP will be constructed which will enable connecting new users to the public sewerage network.
The grant decision for the project “Wastewater collection and treatment in the Dravinja basin – Municipality Rače-Fram” is the first of the many environment-related decisions for projects selected in the framework of the second invitation under the Agreement for the development of regions.
