Ljubljana, 21 December 2020 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has issued a funding decision for the projects Wastewater collection and treatment in the Dravinja River basin – Municipality Slovenske Konjice and Wastewater collection and treatment in the Lower Sava River basin – Municipality Krško. Amounting to a total of EUR 7.6 million, the two projects will receive support from the Cohesion Fund standing at EUR 3.3. million.
Wastewater collection and treatment in the Dravinja River basin – Municipality Slovenske Konjice
The flagship goal under this project is to reduce water pollution through the development of municipal wastewater infrastructure.
The project, which will be implemented by the Municipality Slovenske Konjice, includes the upgrade of the existing wastewater collection and treatment system serving the agglomeration Velešnik. To this end, over 14,000-meter long secondary sewerage system will be developed, and a pumping station constructed. Over 700 residents will be newly connected to the wastewater collection and treatment system.
Worth nearly 5.4 million euros, this environmental infrastructure project will receive a contribution from the Cohesion Fund amounting to almost 2.2. million euros.
Wastewater collection and treatment in the Lower Sava River basin – Municipality Krško
Works under the project, which will be implemented by the Municipality Krško, will include the construction of wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure serving agglomeration Krško – left bank and Leskovec and agglomeration Senovo Brestanica. Both agglomerations will be connected to wastewater treatment plants.
Worth over 2.2 million euros, the project is to receive a contribution from the Cohesion Fund in the amount of over 1.1. million euros.
