Ljubljana, 29 August 2017 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, Managing Authority for Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund, issued a grant decision for two projects focusing on energy renovation of public buildings in Trbovlje, Ajdovščina and Lendava, namely Trbovlje General Hospital and the administrative units in Ajdovščina and Lendava.
The project “Energy renovation of three buildings of the Trbovlje General Hospital” covers renovating the hospital, administrative building and the old paediatric building. The total value of the investment is a little over EUR 2.4 million of which the Cohesion Fund contribution stands at EUR 523,000 which represents 85% of the entire programme contribution.
The aim of the project, which focuses on energy renovation of a total of 9,260 m2 of floor area, is to reduce the specific use of primary energy in buildings, reduce the specific costs of the purchase of energy for the buildings, simplify the operation and maintenance and reduce specific operating and maintenance costs, contribute to reducing environmental impact of greenhouse gases and establish a basis for environment-friendly buildings.

For the project “Comprehensive energy renovation of state-owned public buildings in two locations (administrative unit Ajdovščina and administrative unit Lendava)” worth a little over EUR 814,000 the Cohesion Fund contribution stands at EUR 213,000 which represents 85% of the entire programme contribution.
The aim of the project, which focuses on energy renovation of a total of 2,783 m2 of floor area, is to reduce specific operating and maintenance costs and contribute to reducing environmental impact of greenhouse gases.
The building in Ajdovščina will be subject to renovation in terms of the façade, roof and roof panel, external blinds and ventilation with recovery will be installed, also the heating system will be replaced. The building in Lendava will be subject to renovation in terms of the façade and flat roof, builders’ joinery will be replaced and hydraulic balancing will be implemented. Ventilation system and economical lighting for the building in Lendava will also be established.
