Ljubljana, 21 July 2017 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Managing Authority for ERDF, ESF and Cohesion Fund, issued grant decision for the call for projects of manufacturing learning laboratories 2017/2018 which is to be issued today by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology. The earmarked funding available under the call amounts to some EUR 1.2 million, of which over EUR 880,000 comes from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The call for proposals aims to boost creation and support operation of manufacturing learning labs to contribute to development of efficient solutions in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy. The call for proposals mobilises innovation and innovative solutions by deploying digital and technical manufacturing of products or services, which is expected to stimulate the environment and create synergy effects resulting from links between the economy and research sphere.
The call for proposals seeks to co-finance at least three manufacturing learning labs that will:
- establish adequate infrastructure for introducing energy efficient solutions and renewable energy solutions for SMEs and potential entrepreneurs;
- allow enterprises and the community to have access to knowledge in technical and digital manufacturing as well as to the premises and equipment of these labs.
Public institutions in secondary education specified in the Organization and Financing of Education Act (including school centres, secondary vocational schools, secondary professional schools, general secondary schools) are eligible for funding under the call for proposals.
