Ljubljana, 1 April 2021 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has issued a funding decision for the Call for proposals to support tourism and recreation infrastructure in mountain areas. The call for proposals makes a total of EUR 5 million available, of which EUR 4.5 million will come from the European Regional Development Fund.
The call for proposals aims to support investments in improving energy efficiency and material efficiency in mountain huts, shelters, bivouacs and learning centres located in Slovenia’s mountain areas.
Funding under the call for proposals will be used to foster infrastructure management that builds on the principles of sustainable development and to reduce energy and material consumption through measures that encourage the take-up of renewable energy in mountain lodgings.
The Ministry of Economic Development and Technology plans to publish the call for proposals on 9 April 2021. Managers, i.e. private owners or tenants of mountain lodgings with a registered economic activity involved in the roll-out of energy efficiency measures will be able to apply for funding.
