Ljubljana, 10 June 2021 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for the project Promoting vocational education and training 2021-2022. The project worth EUR 700 thousand will be implemented by the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training and will receive EUR 560 thousand of European Social Fund support.
The project seeks to enhance the attractiveness and competitiveness of vocational education and training through promotional activities such as presentations of professions and schools, through competitions, advertising, and other activities to improve the reputation and recognition of vocational education and training. The project will co-finance the SloveniaSkills competitions in vocational skills.
The project aims to enhance young people’s interest in vocational education and training, strengthen cooperation between employers and social partners in the educational process and ensure that young people enter the labour market faster by also having the relevant skills.
