Ljubljana, 30 June 2022 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for the call for proposals Work integrated learning for students to gain practical experience and knowledge 2022/2023. The call for proposals will promote flexible forms of learning and support career orientation.
The call for proposals will aim to strengthen cooperation and links between higher education system and the environment (the economy, non-economic activities and non-profit sector in local and regional environment) and foster implementation of flexible forms of learning. The goal of the call will be to support students in gaining hands-on practical experience already during their studies to enhance student learning and development empowering them to be able to turn ideas into reality, nurture their entrepreneurial spirit, support innovative, creative thinking, and creativity to boost their employment prospects and facilitate their transition to the world of work.
The call for proposals will also tackle other higher education-related challenges, such as systematic transfer of knowledge between higher education institutions and work environment, enhanced flexibility and adjustment of curricula to match the actual labour market demand as well as long-term collaboration between higher education institutions and work environment.
The call for proposals will contribute to the development of an institutional framework to ensure an open and innovative higher education environment. It will be consistent with the Slovenian Smart Specialisation Strategy, the document setting out key areas of the economy projected to achieve breakthrough.
The call for proposals will make a total of EUR 3.5 million available, of which EUR 2.8 million will come from the European Social Fund.
