EU funding helped bring to life the Business Park Vrelec in Rogaška Slatina which is the biggest project in the municipality that supports small and medium-sized economy.
The park stretches over 1276 square metres covering the ground floor and three floors. The park provides 60 jobs and offers 36 offices 30 of which fall within the business incubator with the latter also entailing a café, conference rooms and the archives. The park also provides parking. The business incubator provides space, technology and infrastructure for existing companies and start-ups. Igor Kokovnik, Director of the company Rodom d.o.o. Rogaška Slatina, says that renting an office at Vrelec enables him “to do his job independently and at any time. Despite the fact that our company is small we feel like we are part of a larger team, especially because of the regular communication between the leading personnel, the employees and others participating in the incubator”.
Establishing the economic and business infrastructure will contribute to enhancing entrepreneurship and economic development in the area of Obsotelje, Kozjansko and the wider region of Savinja. Branka Aralica, Director of MPI Vrelec d.o.o, is proud that “over the ten-year period the incubator has established a business environment with over 200 employees which holds events attracting visitors from home and abroad. We thus contribute to raising the quality of life for us all and realising the sustainable development goal in terms of jobs and economic growth.”
