Until not long ago, the cyclists on the way between Idrija and Mokraška vas had to use the existing pedestrian paths, town streets and the Spodnja Idrija-Godovič national road, which all lacked appropriate infrastructure, signs and traffic signals for cyclists. The development of cycling infrastructure between both settlements significantly improves conditions allowing cyclists to enjoy in a safe ride, and also contributes to promotion of sustainable mobility.
As part of the project, a cycling path was constructed, and accompanying works were carried out, such as drainage, installation of traffic signs and pavement markings, erection of a stone retaining wall, completion of the existing culvert, installation of street lighting, protection or relocation of utility lines and landscaping works.
