The ‘Path of the Shepherd's Dwarves’, a unique integral tourism product, is a new fairytale adventure trail of Krvavec which is based on the original children’s picture book About Shepherds and Dwarves by Uroš Grilc and illustrated by Gorazd Vahne. The work merges the key identical features of Krvavec: pasture grazing, medicinal herbs and life in the mountains. The path takes children and their families through the shady forests and green mountain pastures where children get to experience the real shepherd lifestyle on the mountain by solving riddles and doing different tasks in a fun and interesting way.
This product is unique and first of its kind in this part of Europe. It has been developed to attract and educate families, school children and kindergarten children by offering them an excellent opportunity to spend time together outdoors while learning about nature and cultural heritage in an experiential way. The project has also been designed to get children and their families excited about hiking and exploring the great outdoors by getting them experience idyllic mountain surroundings.
