Ljubljana, 19 May 2021 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for the project Business infrastructure in the Industrial and Small Business Zone Neverke. The project worth a good EUR 1 million will be implemented by the Municipality of Pivka under the Agreement on the development of the Primorsko-notranjska region and will receive EUR 709 thousand of European Regional Development Fund support.
As part of the project, municipality Pivka will establish community infrastructure in the already developed Industrial and Small Business Zone Neverke, thus enabling the land to be used for constructing new production facilities. The project covers the construction of the access road with a sidewalk and emergency lane in the total length of 400 metres and the arrangement of meteor and faecal sewerage. Municipality Pivka will also set up electrical and telecommunication installations with public lighting along with a water supply and hydrant network.
The project will result in creating a supportive environment for the growth and development of small and medium-sized enterprises, which are key drivers of economic development in the region. This will also enhance their added value.
