Ljubljana, 11 August 2022 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved over EUR 450 thousand in EU funding for the project Energy-efficient renovation of the Secondary School Veno Pilon Ajdovščina.
The Veno Pilon Secondary School in Ajdovščina offers a 4-year general upper secondary school programme and a preschool educational programme. The project will result in approximately 8,847 net square metres being renovated. The facilities of the secondary school and the school boarding house will benefit from the thermal insulation of the façade, the ceiling facing the unheated attic, and the roof. In addition, recovery ventilation will be installed. Works will include the replacement of joinery and modernisation of the heating and cooling system. The project will also result in the installation of a central monitoring system. All the mentioned project activities will enhance the energy efficiency of the facilities and reduce maintenance costs. The investment worth EUR 1,333,529.87 will receive EUR 456,376.06 of Cohesion Fund support.
