  • About the project

The ‘Multigenerational Centre Skupna točka’ (‘Common Point’) is a project run in partnership with Slovene Philanthropy which seeks to encourage people of all ages and from different cultural and religious backgrounds to come together. The multigenerational centre is an open meeting place for people of all ages to come together, socialise, engage in dialogue, become active and creative, cooperate, exchange knowledge and experience and take advantage of the diverse services offered by the centre. As a strong support to the municipality in its efforts to tackle the challenges of demographic changes, the multigenerational centre supports active learning in all stages of life, and provides activities that foster social cohesion, social inclusion and encourage integration of vulnerable groups. Additionally, the multigenerational centre delivers various tailored prevention programmes and activities. The multitude of diverse and rich activities offered at the multigenerational centre Skupna točka facilitates social cohesion between the generations, promotes a sense of community in the municipality, and builds solidarity, mutual trust and confidence, and readiness to offer help when needed. The aim of the multigenerational centre is to bridge the generation gap that is growing wider, and raise awareness of the importance of intergenerational solidarity which has almost fallen into oblivion amid fast-paced life.
